A visionary with an eye towards inclusivity:

For more than 20 years, Alexandra Peng designed eyewear for major brands, all the while realizing the very products she was designing would not fit her own face.

In 2009, she embarked on her own journey, creating TC CHARTON, the first North American brand that focused solely on eyewear for Asian faces. With time and buzz, other ethnic groups discovered the brand as one with designs for a myriad of different features, all of which are taken into consideration in the design of each frame.

Metallic Magic:

Lightweight stainless steel marks a departure for TC CHARTON, which has made a name for itself making multi-ethnic fitting frames in the highest quality acetates. The decision to focus on an all-metal collection comes from TC CHARTON founder/designer Alexandra Peng’s continued devotion to fit.

“There’s this myth that any metal frame can fit anybody. Oftentimes, people think they can just adjust the nose pads and pad arms, make a tweak here and there and poof, a perfect fit,” said Peng. “But doing that still compromises fit and comfort. So, for Fall/Winter 2022, I wanted to challenge the myth that all metal frames can fit anyone and show my own elevated versions with superior fit.
